Debt Management Plans
A Debt Management Plan is AN INFORMAL ARRANGEMENT WITH YOUR
CREDITORS, tailored to help you OFFER reduced debt repayments to
your creditors over a number of years. Repayments are CALCULATED
USING YOUR INCOME AND ESSENTIAL HOUSEHOLD LIVING COSTS.
• Ideally suited for debts between £3000 - £15000
• Relatively easy to set up
• Fees & Interest may continue from creditors
• Allows reduced debt payments to be made over a number of years

Individual Voluntary
Arrangement (IVA)
• ONLY SUITABLE for debts over £15000
• CREDITORS MAY AGREE TO Write off a percentage of the overall
debts
• Debt free within 3 – 60 months
• Safeguards House & Car and avoid the consequences of
bankruptcy
• This is a legally binding agreement
Monthly Contribution
IVA
This is where the individual IS ABLE TO OFFER
a monthly contribution for a period of up to five years
FOLLOWING AN INDEPTH INCOME AND EXPENDITURE ASSESSMENT. THE
CONTRIBUTION can be as little as £250 per month and will usually
be substantially less than the debt repayments that were
previously being paid. At the end of the IVA, THE DEBTS ARE
SATISFIED AND ANY REMAINING DEBT IS AGREED TO BE WRITTEN OFF BY
THE CREDITORS. Please note that this is subject to Creditors
acceptance, terms and conditions.
Full & Final Settlement IVA
This enables the individual to offer a lump
sum payment in full and final settlement of their debts. Such a
proposal may be suitable where an individual is unable to offer
a monthly contribution, but is able to release a lump sum from
their property or obtain a gift from a family member. This is an
extremely attractive solution to both the individual concerned
and the creditors involved, as it will enable them to recover a
percentage of the money owed within a matter of months rather
than years. Please note that this is subject to Creditors
acceptance, terms and conditions.
